What is Vladiball?
An engineering answer to a safety question in skyball
Vladiball is an engineering project that provides a technical solution for the World's 1st safe skyball. Vladiballs concept considers a light ball construction that carries extra weight that will be released into the atmosphere at the altitude of 2,000 ft +/-500 feet AGL (above ground level), if a ball, by chance, is not retrieved. It is purely mechanical and works on the air pressure basis.
How it works
Light ball, releasable weight, purely mechanical
-
01
A light ball with extra weight
The ball is light by construction. Extra weight is carried inside it, ready to be released.
-
02
Released at about 2,000 ft
If the ball is not retrieved, the weight is released into the atmosphere at 2,000 ft ±500 ft AGL (above ground level).
-
03
Works on air pressure
It is purely mechanical and works on the air pressure basis. There is nothing to power or switch on.

The product
Two weights, one ball
Vladiball comes without an extra weight. The owner provides the weight, chosen for how the ball is flown.
- Freefly weight, with shot
- 1.3 lb (590 g)
- Belly-fly weight
- 1.0 lb (455 g)
- Release altitude
- 2,000 ft ±500 ft AGL
