Profile

Vladimir Milosavljević is a Serbian aeronautical engineer, commercial pilot and skydiver. He invented Vladiball, and his work spans aviation training, aircraft maintenance, airport management and skydiving research.

He graduated from the Belgrade University Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in 1997 with an MSc in Mechanical Engineering, in the group for Aeronautics. He holds commercial pilot licences under both the FAA and EASA, and he is a flight instructor and instrument instructor.

  • FAA Commercial Pilot, Airplane Multi & Single Engine Land, Instrument Rated (CPL AMEL/ASEL, IR). Bourland Flight Academy, Fort Worth, Texas, 1999. Passed FAA tests for FIA (Flight Instructor Airplane) and FOI (Fundamentals of Instructing).
  • EASA Commercial Pilot, CPL(A) with MEP, SEP, IRME, IRSE, FI, IRI, CRI, ATPL theory credit and MCC. IAA EASA (Ireland).
  • EASA ATPL TKI: theoretical knowledge instructor.
  • Education: Mathematical/Technical High School, Smederevo (1990). MSc Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautics group, Belgrade University (1997).

  1. Member of the World Parachuting Team that jumped on the Geographical North Pole.

  2. Bourland Flight Academy, Fort Worth, Texas. Maintenance department: structural engineer and A&P mechanic under supervision (FAR Part 43), structure repairs and airplane inspections.

  3. Paracentrum Teuge, Netherlands. Skydiving coach, pilot and parachute packer.

  4. Worked with World Champion freestyle skydiver Tamara Koyn on research published as Skydiving Stability, in 9 countries and 6 languages.

  5. Consultant aeronautical engineer at Sky Tech Vehicle Design, Fort Worth, Texas, on the Fast Track Amphibian project. He developed and tested a 1/5 scale model, which made the project possible.

  6. Fluid Arts, Smederevo, Serbia: engineering and inventing workshop, owner. Major project: Vladiball.

  7. Director of the video project Body Pilot in Command, a scientific instructional DVD for skydiving.

  8. Smederevo Municipal Airport, Serbia: Airport Director.

  9. Part-time commercial pilot for UPS (Beechcraft A-65), Belgrade. In 2007 he organized and flew a ferry flight for UPS from West Palm Beach, Florida, to Belgrade.

  10. President of the Sport's Union of Smederevo, Serbia (vice president 2005–2009).

  11. SMATSA Aviation Academy, Serbia: theoretical knowledge instructor for EASA ATPL (instrumentation, principles of flight, mass & balance, aircraft general knowledge). Head of the Academy 2012/2013, Accountable Manager.

  12. Airways Aviation: FI and IRI, based in Podgorica (Montenegro), Huesca (Spain) and Oxford (UK). In Montenegro also CTKI and captain of Airways Aviation Scenic & Charter.

  13. Flying skydiving operations in the USA (Skydive Midwest, Sky-Dance Skydiving, California) and Canada (Skydive Edmonton).
